A Note Regarding the Coronavirus Pandemic:
Dear Friends of Precision LTC Pharmacy,
We are reaching out to let you know what measures Precision LTC Pharmacy is taking to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), so we can continue to provide critical services to the residents that we serve, who need us now more than ever. We are introducing several important changes to keep our clients, and our staff members safe:
– We have increased our standard cleaning protocols and have added more thorough cleanings of high-touch surfaces throughout our facility.
– We have communicated with our clients, partners and staff about the importance of hand washing and are promoting the frequent use of hand sanitizer and hand-washing throughout our facility and delivery vehicles.
– We encourage our staff and partners to stay home if they are not feeling well, as an additional safeguard to keep everyone healthy.
– We have educated our staff about the importance of “social distancing” and are discouraging handshakes and other direct person-to-person contact.
– We are temporarily keeping staff to client meetings at a minimum and communicating through alternative channels, telephone, e-mail or fax to ensure a safer environment.
– We are providing ongoing internal training to ensure staff have the skills and technology to work from home if needed.

Does SDS-Rx have a plan?
SDS-RX has a pandemic plan in place and is working with our customers to help prevent the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in health care facilities. We understand that the service our drivers provide is in direct contact with those most vulnerable to the COVID19 virus (the elderly and infirmed), which means we are asking our drivers and staff to use every precaution to protect patients at your facilities.
What preventative measures is SDS-Rx taking?
SDS-Rx is working quickly to ensure hand sanitizers and sterile wipes are provided at pickup facilities, drivers are being asked to follow CDC and governmental regulations to service those most at risk, as well maintaining supplies of hand sanitizer and gloves in their business vehicles.
Additionally, we are communicating to staff internally with informational posters to keep staff and drivers informed of preventative measures they can use throughout the day regarding hygiene. We are also communicating with drivers regarding protocols for the facilities they are delivering to.
Will service be impacted?
We plan on making our deliveries as normal. Our plan is to work with you and your requests during this time.
We understand the heightened need for caution and want to partner with you. It is important to SDS-Rx that we ensure we are collectively taking every precaution to keep staff, drivers, caregivers, and patients healthy.
We have also instructed SDS-Rx to limit driver to client contact as much as possible. We are achieving this by having facility staff meet drivers at a specified location (front door or lobby) to accept deliveries. Please let us know if you feel this would benefit your staff and residents.
We will continue to monitor the situation as it evolves and changes, and we will continue to follow the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and the New York City Department of Health & Mental Hygiene (DOHMH).
